Forgiveness by Daniel Bernard Roumain (DBR), with text by Marc Bamuthi Joseph, was commissioned and premiered by the Albany Symphony at the 2023 Convergence Festival, conducted by David Alan Miller, with Marc Bamuthi Joseph as narrator.

The West Coast premiere took place in 2025 with the Oakland Symphony, conducted by Music Director Kedrick Armstrong.
